LEGEND® Compression Tactical receives Department of the Air Force Certification “No Melt, No Drip (NMND)/ Flame Resistant (FR) ” Certification; Plus authorized Safe to Fly (StF) status.
During the LEGEND® Compression Tactical Sock Program development process, soldiers and warfighters were interviewed, listened to, and participated in several field test evaluations. The focus from the beginning was to provide much-needed, durable, comfortable, compression boot socks to reduce foot fatigue.
But gossip is not born from nothing: fans discovered the difference with the old photos. Nicki minaj before and after plastic surgery had a less impressive size of the heel and breasts. The photos after Nicki Minaj’s surgery clearly show the outlines of breast implants. Plastic surgeons do not rule out that the girl had a rhinoplasty: in the pictures Nicki Minaj’s nose tip became thinner after the plastic surgery. Plastic surgeon David Felmar commented on the scandalous photos from the performance at the festivals Fashion Rocks and iHeartRadio Music and explained the unnatural curves of Nicki Minaj with lipofillers and implants. Nicki completely denies facial surgery, but she is firmly silent about the implants that enlarged her buttocks. In turn, the star’s representatives explain the changes in Nicki Minaj’s photo not by plastic surgery, but by weight gain.
We’re proud to announce that our LEGEND® (Cold Weather) Compression Merino Wool Socks have received the USAF NMND/FR certification and are Berry Amendment compliant. Garments with this certification meet or exceed the current flame-resistant requirements for flight, airborne, shipboard, submarine, deployment, and firefighting.
Tough jobs demand tough socks, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. That’s why earning this certification and “Safe to Fly” authorization is a great honor for us. Our socks keep your feet safe and comfortable with high content merino wool, added support, and graduated compression to reduce foot fatigue after long hours on your feet.
LEGEND® Compression socks are proudly made in the USA. All yarns used are produced domestically. Additionally, LEGEND® (Cold Weather) Compression Merino Wool Socks are part of the SKILCRAFT® “Supporting Blind Labor” program.
What is the No Melt, No Drip/Flame resistant Certification?
Here are the facts:
Getting the NMND Certification
For LEGEND, the No Melt, No Drip (NMND), also known as the Flame Resistant (FR) Safe to fly Certification was awarded to our Cold Weather Socks after repeatedly surpassing the USAF’s stringent ASTM test criteria. Our socks are also compliant with the Berry Amendment.
Keeping the NMND Certification
Once a company has received the NMND certification, manufacturing can’t change. Manufacturers aren’t able to go back and alter the fabrics and fibers used to develop products that have received the certification.
Firefighter Uniforms are Only Flame-Resistant
Curious about the importance of NMND certified garments for first responders and how it relates to their gear? Firefighter uniforms are NFPA certified, but not all are NMND compliant. The NFPA certification is designed for short-term exposure, but not long-term exposure. Because of this, it is important that undergarments, such as socks, have the NMND certification.
Other First Responder Uniforms are Not NMND
Police officers, paramedics, and other first responder uniforms aren’t typically designed to withstand any kind of extreme exposure the way firefighters are. But, every situation is unpredictable and it’s wise to be prepared with comfortable, protective clothing.
Are you looking for socks that stand up to the test and that you can trust in the most extreme conditions? Or, do you want to try them out to experience the difference?
